In the age of rapidly disrupting technology, understanding workflow design becomes imperative to become industry leaders. R3A, Pittsburgh gave me the opportunity to develop this automation script which saved around 40 hours on the Crawford hall projects and would save that multiple in future projects. The dynamo plugin for Revit is a powerful tool to automate design documentation tasks and modify elements and families across sheets. For the Crawford project the uppercase script was implemented on 400 sheets. The script allowed flexibility to change specific text families to retain control. Miro board was used to systematically understand dynamo. Chat GPT had recently released and was also utilized to deeply understand scripting and systematically debugging. The project was handed to the firm with Miro board having detailed understanding of the Dynamo workflows, reference links, troubleshooting documentation and further opportunities.
